Bon Iver was joined by Taylor Swift at last night’s (October 26th) OVO Wembley Arena show in London.

Bon Iver has sold out a number of evenings at the West London venue, pulling out all the stops for his London return. Last night – October 26th – brought the biggest surprise of all, when Taylor Swift emerged to perform ‘Exile’.

Justin Vernon, The National’s Aaron Dessner, and Taylor Swift combined onstage for a very special performance of the song, which features on her ‘folklore’ record.

Taylor Swift seems to be developing a habit of jumping onstage when her friends are in London – she recently appeared alongside HAIM at the O2 Arena. She spends a lot of time in the city, of course – and even wrote ‘London Boy’ about her adventures in the metropolis.

It’s busy times for Tay Tay, whose new album ‘Midnights’ is out this week – according to Luminate (via Rolling Stone), which provides figures for the Billboard charts, she sold 1.2 million units in the United States across a mere three day period.

In an 8/10 review, Clash writer Matthew Neale enthuses:

As a diary entry, defined by dark nights of the soul and cast in the same bluish-purple hues, ‘Midnights’ offers little of revelatory purpose to those who have yet to succumb to Swift’s charms. For those already swayed by her craft, however, it may reasonably go on to be recognised as her best album to date, a reminder that magic prevails beyond the frustrations, fantasies and damnations she casts across her latest near-perfect body of work.

‘Midnights’ is out now.
