Sam Fender has shared beautiful new song ‘Wild Grey Ocean’.
The song appears on the deluxe edition of ‘Seventeen Going Under’, which will be released on December 9th. Two new tracks will be added to his Mercury nominated debut, while the package is augmented by the full recording of his mammoth Finsbury Park, London set.
Available to pre-order now, the release is trailed by ‘Wild Grey Ocean’. Dropping the tempo a little, the evocative Sam Fender vocal peers out into the North Sea, the expanse framing his own moments of doubt and introspection.
Beautifully done, it leans on his Heartland tendencies – there’s a little Bob Seger in here, and that’s no bag thing at all – while also remaining resolutely true to his North East heritage.
