NewGen junglist force Nia Archives has shared her new single ‘Baianá’.

The producer has been one of 2022’s breakout success stories, recently picking up a gong at the AIM Awards in London. Her track ‘No Time’ became a summer sizzler, with Nia Archives recently shelling it down at Notting Hill Carnival.

New single ‘Baianá’ is out now, and it represents her first solo single since breakout EP ‘Forbidden Feelingz‘ in March. High velocity breaks abstraction, Nia teases her system culture influences in a new direction, absorbing the impact of Brazilian sounds in the process.

Out now, the punchy percussive attack is pivoted against those fantastic choral voices, resulting in a heater that taps into summer’s fading energies. Nia Archives comments…

“I’ve always been a massive fan of Samba Music, Bossa Nova Music and Brazilian culture and had been a fan of the Barbatuques for a while. When I was looking through my samba / bossa playlist and thinking about songs to sample, “Baianá” was the one that stood out for me. When I started making it, the original version was quite bouncy which I wanted to make harder… so I flipped it into this crazy amen break roller with a Reese bass line. I feel like this one really showcases my work and style as a producer.”

Tune in now.
