Molly Lewis announces her debut album, On The Lips

Over the previous 12 months, Lewis has soundtracked one of the vital emotional scenes within the Barbie film alongside Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, lent her singular abilities to style homes like Chanel, Gucci, and Hermes, and supported Weyes Blood on tour.

The model new single, “Lounge Lizard” comes accompanied with a music video directed by Ambar Navarro and conceptualised by Molly Lewis, impressed by Julie London’s apparition in 1956’s The Lady Can’t Assist It.

On The Lips was recorded with producer Thomas Brenneck (Menahan Road Band, Charles Bradley, Amy Winehouse) at Diamond West Studios in Pasadena. With one thing of an open door coverage through the periods, a stream of acclaimed musicians joined Molly throughout the album’s 10 tracks, together with Nick Hakim, Latin Grammy-nominated Brazilian guitarist Rogê, Leland Whitty and Chester Hansen of Badbadnotgood, Chicano soul group Thee Sacred Souls on the melancholy “Crushed Velvet”, experimental jazz pianist Marco Benevento and El Michels Affair’s Leon Michels.

The album options two covers: Dave Berry’s Nineteen Sixties pop customary “The Crying Sport” and Jeanette’s “Porque Te Vas” from 1974.
