London based multi-hyphenate Loshh has shared his new ‘akọle’ EP.

The Nigerian born artist brings together all manner of threads in his work, ranging from afrobeats to R&B, via club tropes in the production. His debut EP ‘Ifarada’ epitomises his singular approach, a seven-tracker that felt broad and bewitching.

His new project ‘akọle’ is much more than a follow-up, with the EP picking out flavours and styles of its own. An artist who wants to channel something deeper, Loshh is able to move from jazz improvisation through to highlife arrangements via bold, chanted choruses.

A project of real originality, the EP affords Loshh space to approach pure expression. He comments…

“I always let the spirits flow through me when writing and recording. With this EP I had to learn to connect with the spirits in a different way, from spirit mind to pen instead of spirit to mic, it allowed me to explore a different side of myself.”

Tune in now.
