Fontaines D.C.’s frontman Grian Chatten lends a verse to KNEECAP’s monitor, while his band mate Tom Coll joins on drums.
Speaking in regards to the monitor, which is accompanied by a Peadar Gill directed video filmed in Madden’s Bar in Belfast (the place Grian and Kneecap first met), KNEECAP stated: “”A Better Way To Live” is all about discovering that little spark of pleasure within the monotony, within the day-to-day issues that you just barely bat a watch at. In between the moments of that repetitive elevate of the pint, or spark of a cigarette, there is a chance for bliss. Beneath that fixed noise, there’s a silence that may breathe new life and inspiration breaking via the mundane.”
KNEECAP play three English headline dates on the finish of November the place they are going to be joined by fellow Heavenly Recordings artist OneDa together with a London date at Electrical Ballroom on 29 November. Moreover, ‘The Kneecap biopic movie’, written and directed by Wealthy Peppiatt (One Rogue Reporter) and starring Michael Fassbender is due for launch in early 2024.
KNEECAP – Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí – had their first launch, 2017’s C.E.A.R.T.A, banned from Irish radio station RTÉ attributable to “drug references and cursing”. The ban by no means influenced the band’s future output.
