Fiona Apple has shared new song ‘Where The Shadows Lie’.
The songwriter penned the song for the finale of new Amazon Studios’ series The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power, and it taps into the lore of the seminal fantasy venture.
The words are adapted from a J.R.R. Tolkien poem that appeared in the original books, while Bear McCreary assists on music. Out now, ‘Where The Shadows Lie’ is a powerful, affecting performance, feeling at home in that realm while also being inimitably Fiona Apple in its form.
