R&B duo dvsn have shared new album ‘Working On My Karma’.
The ever-productive duo don’t hold back, with a flurry of projects exemplifying their breadth. 2020’s excellent ‘A Muse In Her Feelings’ was followed by a full length collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign, with ‘Cheers To The Best Memories’ receiving fan acclaim.
New album ‘Working On My Karma’ returns dvsn to their own realm, inviting other artists into the studio. BLEU and Jagged Edge guest on vocals, while production comes from Jermaine Dupri.
An emotive journey, the 12 track project contains a rare sense of unity, blending fresh aesthetics with subtle use of unexpected samples – listen closely for John Legend’s ‘Ordinary People’ interpolated within ‘Take It Slow’ for example, produced by Nineteen85.
“The album is all about honesty and making amends with yourself,” says Daniel. “We wanted to make music you can sing along to like ‘Take It Slow,’ but also spark conversation around the complexities of relationships with songs like ‘If I Get Caught’.”
