Bristol duo Run Logan Run have shared new single ‘Where Do You Go?’ – tune in now.
The two-piece grapple with improvisatory freedom, their jazz-aligned adventures retaining a DIY rawness that links to their Bristol origins. A full album is incoming, with Run Logan Run sharing emotional new track ‘Where Do You Go?’ ahead of this.
Opening with Andrew Neil-Hayes locating expression on saxophone, Matt Brown scatters the beat, finding his way expertly through the fog. Joining to craft something loose-limbed and infectious, ‘Where Do You Go?’ has a sharply defined emotional edge, with Run Logan Run combining to discuss mental health, and the need for pure connection.
Andrew Neil-Hayes explains…
“We are living through a period of mental health crisis. All my friends, family, colleagues, have been affected by it in some way or another, either directly or indirectly. ‘Where Do You Go’ could be seen as a question of life after death, but it also asks where we go in times of mental desperation? It begins as a dirge (a lament for the dead) and ends joyous and hopeful.”
Tune in now.
